Individual Therapy

Building a strong relationship of safety and comfort with your therapist is the first step to individual therapy. Once we have determined that you feel comfortable, safe and interested in continuing to work with me, we can begin to fully explore your relationships and quality of life and the challenges you are facing. My style is relaxed and engaging and I follow your lead in delving into the hard stuff. I have worked extensively with families and individuals struggling with histories of sexual abuse, domestic violence, addiction, and all kinds of traumatic experiences. I have also been able to help many individuals with severe to mild depression, anxiety, or even just a general sense of  not achieving their potential. Therapy can benefit anyone and can be a fantastic way to care for yourself!

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy can be the right choice for couples in a great number of differing circumstances.  Divorcing couples, co-parenting couples, couples transitioning to a new stage of life (empty nesters, new parents, parents of teens, retirees, etc), newlyweds, long wedded, gay and lesbian couples, mixed family couples and many, many other types of couples can benefit from learning how to maximize their positive interactions and their day-to-day joy in life.

Family Therapy

Families can be impacted by a tremendous number of social and emotional issues that impact everyone in the family. In addition, it is often difficult to gain perspective when it is your family and to see all the dynamics, patterns and roles each family member brings to the whole family experience. I have worked with countless families to increase positive communication, understanding and greater intimacy.
